1. Manikaran
Located in the Parbati Valley, near the bank of river Parbati is the Manikaran hot water spring. Multiple springs surface with great pressure over an area of 1.3 km. The water is said to be so hot that pulses and vegetables can be easily cooked using it. A Gurudwara located close to the spring uses the water to prepare food. The food is also cooked by placing the pots and pans in the hot emerging springs. The spring has great healing properties, especially for muscular pain, arthritis, and rheumatism.
2. Tattapani
Tattapani, meaning hot water, is located on the bank of river Sutlej. These springs are rich in sulfur and also have the power to cure ailments related to muscular pain and rheumatism. The waters emerging from these streams fluctuate based on the water levels in the river.
3. Khirganga
Another breathtaking hot water spring is Khirganga. It can be reached by a short trek through a beautiful, rocky terrain. The spring is located in a steep meadow surrounded by lofty mountains and pine forests. It is believed that Lord Shiva’s son, Karthik had remained in ‘samadhi’ at this place for thousands of years. The name of the spring is derived from the distinct white-colored water that flows from it.
4. Kasol hot water spring
While Kasol has only one hot water spring, the temperature of which is lesser than in Mankaran, it makes a beautiful sight. 5. Vashisht hot springs
